My name is Matthew Burns. I’ve had a legal name change, and I’m the fifth child of seven. I was born in Salt Lake City, and have lived in Park City my whole life. Band and orchestra is my life. I started my first instrument, the piano, in second grade. In sixth grade I picked up the clarinet, and I loved that as well. Later I picked up the bass clarinet, bassoon, and the flute. I believe I still like the piano the most; not a day goes by that I don’t play it.
