october 13/14

1. Today I read Earliest-known lamprey larva fossils unearthed in Inner Mongolia written by university of kansas.
2. I read ~4 pages and i normally read like 9 but this was really advanced with small font and complicated words
3. one thing that surprised me in what i read was that are jaw bone is evolved from an upper set of gills fish used to have 100s of millions of years ago
4 i would like to ask the author this question: where was this fossil discovered(ocean rock sand, etc)
5. the authors's style is serious and formal
6.  its obvious that the author is interested in ancient aquatic life because he discovered this fossil and studied it a ton.

Change is...well...change.

Change is...well...Change. Now Matter What You Are!

One change that is definitely noticeable in my life right now would be my pets. Of course, as any pet gets older it will grow, but one of my dogs is an especially great example of change.   My dog, Bowser, is a mix of two different large breed dogs. Part Great Pyrenees, and part Akbash. Because my dog is a large dog, he grows quickly.  This is why he is such a good example for change! When we first got him (3 months old) he was about the size of an adult "medium" dog and already weighed around 40-50 lbs. Then, when he was around 8-9 months old he was almost/around 100 lbs! The last picture is from a month or two ago when he was a 1 year old puppy. At the moment he weighs 160 lbs and takes up more than half of my couch as you can see in the picture. (He is still growing) This is a good example of how he is physically changing to be larger and how he is mentally changing to behave less like a puppy.  Simply by looking at the pictures you can see indications of the transitions in his life.
PS-He is obviously not green and 'no' I didn't put any effects on his 3 month old picture. It was just bad lighting.
